In 1985, he started working as a Process Engineer at AR\u00c7EL\u0130K Refrigerator Factory. Between 1990 and 1993, he worked as Planning and Inventory Control Supervisor at the same factory. Following this assignment, he was assigned as Planning and Material Manager at AR\u00c7EL\u0130K Dishwasher Factory, where he also took part in the establishment activities. Subsequently, he served as Assembly Area Manager and Factory Manager in the same factory until 2005, respectively, and in parallel, between 2003 and 2005, he also served as TPM Coordinator in the TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) studies conducted by JIPM (Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance) and contributed to the factory receiving the TPM Excellence Award.After leaving Ar\u00e7elik in 2005, B\u00fclent S\u00f6nmez continued his business life as a trainer and consultant in his own company, &#8220;KILGI System Consultancy&#8221; and has carried out projects\/studies in around 35 companies so far. His areas of interest and expertise are &#8220;Process (System) Analysis, Design, Development and Improvement&#8221;, &#8220;TPM&#8221;, &#8220;Lean Management&#8221;, &#8220;Lean Production&#8221; and &#8220;Lean Transformation&#8221;.
